Elementary School

Math in Focus (HMH) is our elementary mathematics program, designed to develop deep mathematical understanding rather than a focus on speed or simply getting the right answer. The core pillars of Math in Focus are the Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) approach (hands-on, visual, then symbolic), problem-solving (using models like bar models), spiral review, and building conceptual understanding alongside procedural fluency, rooted in Singapore Math's mastery philosophy to develop critical thinking and a strong number sense.

Math OlympiadsJeriCode
Fourth and fifth graders who love math and see challenging problems as an exciting puzzle, are encouraged to consider Math Olympiads. Our program is an enrichment-style program offering opportunities to develop creative problem-solving strategies with a focus on communication about mathematics. Click Here for More Information about Math Olympiad ProgramJeriCODE is an introductory coding course offered to fifth grade students during the fall. Students learn about real-life applications of technology and the role coding plays in the creation of those applications. Students use basic concepts of programming with block code and utilize the Scratch program to practice their newly acquired coding skills while creating interesting stories, games, and animations.
